Cognos cs7g.ini file example

Some of you folks were looking for an example of the earlier discussed cs7g.ini file so here it is:

[Databases]
GOS=;LOCAL;OD;DSN=GOScer5@ASYNC=0@0/0
GOV=;LOCAL;OD;DSN=GOVcer5@ASYNC=0@0/0
GODW=;LOCAL;OD;DSN=GODWcer5@ASYNC=0@0/0
GOMR=;LOCAL;OD;DSN=GOMRcer5@ASYNC=0@0/0

The [Databases] part is the one you need to have if you are using db connections in transformer. What it actually contains is the "Connection String" value from the properties of the same connection in Cognos Administration. All you need to do is copy that string into cs7g.ini and Transformer connection will be functional.

Never had a practical need for using/modifying the first two sections of cs7g.ini file. The [Location] and [Services] I always leave as they were default.
