Cognos Transformer error: (TR1901) PDS-PPE-0197

(TR1901) PDS-PPE-0197 The local data cache size exceeded the allowed maximum of 2147418112 bytes.

What this error message means is that your cube has grown to be bigger than 2 gigs.

One way of solving the issue would be to remove some data from your Cognos cube, that way making it smaller.

Another option is to change your Cognos setup so that Transformer creates many cube files (partitions) instead of one. To do that locate cogtr.xml file on your Transformer server, open the file in notepad or other text editor, find the option and adjust the value to something smaller than you have today.

The smaller the value, the more partition files you will get. Play arround with the setting, see what works best for your setup.
